BAY FEST is this Sunday May 20th at 12PM!

Emmons Avenue

Coming THIS WEEKEND, Sunday, May 20th, is Sheepshead Bay’s longest running Street Festival celebrating 27 years of festivities attracting New Yorkers from all boroughs to enjoy an afternoon of FREE all-day outdoor concerts, performers and fun activities along our very own Emmons Avenue’s Sheepshead Bay Piers. Bay Fest 2018 has been bringing awareness to improving and beautifying our bay by celebrating the historic culture and present day popularity of Emmons Avenue.

Before the Hamptons were a thing, New Yorkers summered on Brooklyn’s Gold Coast, a long stretch of beach from Coney Island to the most eastern-end of Sheepshead Bay. The area was sprinkled with fancy hotels, casinos, racetracks and other rowdy, turn-of-the-century attractions. Our present day neighborhood still attracts many adventurous and outdoor loving New Yorkers. Every year Bay Fest brings an opportunity for the community to engage and interact together with locals and the community we all love.

This year’s Bay Fest theme, “the Old-School and the New-School is the Best-School” is scheduled for Sunday, May 20th from 12 pm – 6 pm. The festivities will run down Emmons Avenue from Ocean Avenue to East 27th Street. TWO STAGES OF GREAT MUSIC 🤩 Stage 1 will host some very talented bands including METROPOLIS opening at 12PM, followed by VINCE MARTELL at 2PM and lastly, the spectacular FLIGHT OF SOUND at 4PM. Stage 2 is headlined by the well-known NYC producer DJ AMADEUS followed by several Brooklyn based DJs, mixing the best of today’s House & Electronic music.

Start your Summer off-right, tell your friends, bring a date, bring the entire family and dance out. There will be plenty of side-show entertainment including FDNY Boat Show, 2 KIDS ZONE, Arts & Crafts, Giant Bounce House, Face Painting, Virtual Experience Tent, larger than life Cartoon characters. Come ready to WIN with Raffles, 50/50’s and Giveaways!

Rain or Shine, Bay Fest will be celebrating our beautiful community – The fun starts at 12PM!
